Inspection In Progress Determined

After logging in, the system may detect an inspection in progress that can be resumed. Depending on the type of inspection in progress and the type of inspection the user is attempting to perform, the following will be displayed to the user:

Smog Check Inspection In Progress

If you logged off the system during a smog check inspection and are attempting to perform another smog check inspection, the following is displayed:

Select Resume to continue the smog check inspection at the point of prior logoff.

Select New Inspection to display the Scan Vehicle VIN screen and begin entry of vehicle information for a new smog check inspection.

If you logged off the system during a smog check inspection and are attempting to perform safety systems inspection for the same vehicle, the following is displayed:

Select Cancel to return to the Main Menu so you can resume the smog check inspection from the Smog Inspection button.
Select Continue to close the smog check inspection in progress and move forward with safety systems inspection.

Safety Systems Inspection In Progress

If you logged off the system during a safety systems inspection prior to the road test and are attempting to perform another safety systems inspection, the following is displayed:

Select Resume to continue the safety systems inspection at the point of prior logoff.

Select New Inspection to display the Scan Vehicle VIN screen and begin entry of vehicle information for a new safety systems inspection.

Resuming after a Road Test

If you selected No from the Road Inspection Complete? screen during the original safety systems inspection, the following is displayed:

Select Resume to continue the safety systems inspection and complete the road test.
Select New Inspection to display the Scan Vehicle VIN screen and begin entry of vehicle information for a new safety systems inspection.

If you logged off the system during a safety systems inspection and are attempting to perform a smog check inspection for the same vehicle, the following is displayed:

Select Cancel to return to the Main Menu so you can resume the safety systems inspection from the VSS Inspection button.
Select Continue to close the safety systems inspection in progress and move forward with the smog check inspection.
